No, you do not need your own pool to enroll in The Aquatic Therapy Institute.
The Clinician Certification Level 1 is designed to first teach the clinical framework, reasoning, and principles behind aquatic therapy. You can learn how to apply water variables, structure sessions, and make clinical decisions.
While you do not need your own pool, be advised that to complete the Level 1 Certification, it is required to complete a video submission containing proof of learning concepts. You must be in an aquatic environment to complete this video submission (ex. pool, lake, etc..).
The Aquatic Therapy Institute has a resource called the Pool Rental Agreement. This is an innovative model, allowing you to rent and deliver therapy in pools without having to build one. Using the ATI Rental Pool Model, clinics can deliver aquatic therapy in existing community pools — without the cost or complexity of building a facility.
